Welcome to Ms. Katen's Teacher Page

 My name is Nancy Katen.  I was born and raised in the Midwest, but fell in love with the weather of the Bay Area!  I've been a Colonial Acre's Cougar since 1999 and have enjoyed working with the many families and diverse students of our school.  I began my teaching career as a kindergarten teacher, then taught 3rd grade for 4 years, but moved back to my favorite grade, kindergarten! In my free time, I love camping with my family, Halloween adventures, playing cards, traveling and hanging out with friends, and  I enjoy raising butterflies with my kinder classes every year in the Spring.
