Dear Families, 

       I checked Raz-Kids and I am excited that more students have gotten on and are working hard.  Be sure to listen to the books and then read them and finally answer comprehension questions.  I am leaving messages for students.  Some students are finding them.  You will see a message box on the bottom of the page when you sign on to Raz-Kids. Students can send me a message too.

       Some students have started HeadSprout which is also found on the same page when you sign on to Raz-Kids.  This is a phonics program.  It’s right on the same sign in as Raz Kids.  Students should be doing this also.  Half of the class has started this program and I am excited for them.  If you haven’t  tried this yet please sign in over spring break and try it out. 

      Happynumbers.com is the math program we will be using for the remainder of the year.  This program is found on Kids Corner.  It is easy to access from the Colonial Acres home page.  I have nine students who have not logged in.  This was part of their assignments last week.  Please sign on over spring break if you haven’t done so yet.  I sent everyone the class number and their log in last week.  Please check your e-mail.

       The district has sent out guidelines and we will be using Zoom after spring break.  I will be holding two meetings a week.  I only heard back from Arielle’s mom on the best time for her to meet.  The zoom invites will be coming through the parents e-mails.  The meetings will take place during school hours.  Parents need to be present during these meetings.  At this time  I will schedule the first meeting on Thursday April 24, 2020.  On that Thursday I will have two sessions one in the morning and one in the afternoon.  You can choose one that meets your time preference.  Watch for the Zoom invites to go out on Wednesday, April 23.

       Lastly I know these are hard times and everyone is trying their best to do home schooling.  It is really up to the parents and I appreciate all your effort.  Let me know if you need anything.
